There have been a few UFO oriented shows on some of the educational channels lately…. and, as always, reminded me of conversations people have regarding such things as aliens visiting Earth and such.
First, a few things science has found out:
- The Universe is around 13.5 billion years old.
- Our solar system is about 4.5 billion years old.
- Humans have been around about 200,000 years.
- Humans started making large technological advances in the past 100 years.
This is for those people out there that think other civilizations are too far away to make contact: How do you know what a race that is merely 200 years more advanced than us can do?
Let’s see… 200 years ago, the year would have been 1808. The modern light bulb wouldn’t even be invented for another 50 years! If we brought someone from that era to today’s world, they would be shocked to think of the miracles we could perform… like simply clicking a little button and people magically appear in a little box to tell us the news for the day.
Hell, let’s just look at computers and processors. Less then 5 years ago, owning a quad-core processor was the thing of dreams. It would be near impossible to fathom where our computer technology will be in 20 years, let alone 200 years.
Now, this is just talking about the Earth’s time scale. Think about it from outside the box… there are about 9 BILLION years of evolution that could have happened outside our solar system. Can you even imagine how much more advanced a civilization could be that is 1 billion years ahead of us??? How about just 1 million? …or even just 100,000??? To say that interstellar travel is impossible is just like saying that the Earth is flat and the center of the solar system.
Why am I so adamant about UFO’s visiting Earth? Because I am one of the few who have truly seen them. “Them” being objects that defy known physics and technology flying around in the sky.
Some people think that believing in UFO’s is similar to the belief in God… that it’s just faith-based. Well, for the many that have never seen a UFO in person, I’m sure it is just a belief…. but being part of a group who witnessed these objects first-hand one night, UFO’s are extremely real. So unless God came to your church one day, proved somehow that “he” was God to the entire congregation, then went on “his” merry way, don’t tell me that UFO’s never visited Earth.
Now… as far as abduction’s go, I don’t know about that. If I was abducted that one morning from my bed years ago, I have no recollection of it other than people telling me I was gone and suddenly reappeared. I personally think that they may have just thought I was gone, but I cannot dismiss the thought of being abducted since I know UFO’s to be real.
…and that about all I have to say about that. Sorry for the rant…. it was something on my mind as of late.
